HEPA Forum 2012

The first HEPA Forum was held at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) on 27-28 March, 2012. The theme of the Forum was: Building a World-class University ˇV The Role of Planning Professionals. The program featured a variety of sessions including presentations, panel discussions and interactive workshops, with live video links to the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) Pacific Regional Conference at Stanford University to enable back-and-forth interactions between Asian and US participants.

The following are a few highlights of last year's event:

50 participants, coming from Australia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, UK and US.

17 presentations,  with 23 speakers sharing various perspectives about common challenges and issues faced by university planners.

Highly-interactive live video link with the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) Pacific Region Conference (held in Stanford University).

Presentations, interactive breakout sessions, panel discussions, networking coffee breaks, lunches and dinners provided ample opportunities for peer exchanges.

Feedback from participants was very positive; they were greatly appreciative for this inaugural forum, and felt that they had benefit a great deal from attending it.
