

Appointed Chairman of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) on 1 April 2007, Mr Lim Chuan Poh is renowned for his long and eminent career in the Singapore Public Service. He was named SCIENCE magazine's top "People to Watch" in 2009 and one of the '50 People Changing the World' by Le Nouvel Observateur in 2013.

Professor Tan Eng Chye is Deputy President (Academic Affairs) and Provost of the National University of Singapore (NUS). He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with first-class honours in 1985 at NUS and his PhD at Yale University in 1989. He oversees NUS' faculties and schools by providing strategic directions and setting academic policies. His responsibilities include admission policies and processes, educational quality assurance, budget and resource allocation for the faculties and schools, and the development and implementation of new educational initiatives. Professor Tan is also responsible for the appointment, promotion and tenure process, as well as the reward and incentive systems for academic staff.

Rajendra Srivastava is Provost and Deputy President, Singapore Management University.
A leading authority on the impact of marketing on business performance, he is frequently invited as a keynote speaker on topics such business model innovation, marketing metrics, value of market-based intangible assets (brands, channels) and management of growth and risk. His work on assessing the impact of marketing strategy business and financial performance has influenced both theory and practice on topics ranging from marketing accountability and strategic metrics across the globe. His paper linking market-based assets and market-facing business processes to shareholder value in the Journal of Marketing received the Maynard Award for the article judged to contribute most to the development of theory in marketing, the MSI/Paul Root Award for the article judged to contribute most to the practice of marketing, as well as the AMA/Sheth Foundation Award for long-term impact on marketing.

Prof Freddy Boey is Deputy President and Provost of Nanyang Technological University (NTU). A Professor of Materials Engineering, he has a track record of breakthrough commercial applications that have given the "made in Singapore" label pride of place on the global stage.

Dafydd joined the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) as Manager for University Investment in December 2013, and is responsible for managing and overseeing the New Zealand University funding portfolio.

Danny Wong Tze Ken is currently Director, Global Planning & Strategy Centre, University of Malaya. He is also Professor of History at the Department of History, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Malaya where he teaches history of Indochina and Southeast Asia. His research interests include history of Champa, Sabah and the Chinese in Malaysia. He was Visiting Research Fellow at the Center for Integrated Area Studies, Kyoto University (2010), Visiting Scholar at Magdalene College, Cambridge University (2008), Visiting Lecturer at Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (1998) and Visiting Professor at the Asia-Europe Institute (2008-2011). Among his publications are: The Nguyen and Champa during 17th and 18th Century (2007), Historical Sabah: Community and Society (2004), The Transformation of an Immigrant Society: a Study of the Chinese of Sabah (1998) and Vietnam-Malaysia Relations during the Cold War (1995). He is also Director of the Institute of China Studies and Head of the Malaysian Chinese Research Centre, University of Malaya.

Dr Cannon joined the University of Hong Kong in August 2013 as its first Executive Vice President (Administration and Finance). Dr Cannon is the University's principal officer providing strategic leadership and oversight of a portfolio that encompasses the management of fiscal affairs, as well as the direction and co-ordination of administrative operations inclusive of budget and finance management, human resource management, estates and facilities management together with health care, safety and information technology services.

Dr. Maxim Skryabin is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Higher Mathematics and a Senior Researcher at the Center for Asian Cooperation of ITMO University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics and Physics from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in 2009. Since 2010, he has been employed at ITMO University. In 2014 he obtained MA degree in Comparative Education from Beijing Normal University and started working as a Senior Researcher at the Center for Asian Cooperation of ITMO University. His responsibilities include but are not limited to developing and maintaining cooperation with partners from the Asia-Pacific Region for implementation of joint international education programs (exchange programs, double degree programs, etc.) as well as short-term training programs and summer camps.

POON King Wang is the Director of the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities (LKY CIC) at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He is also concurrently Director - Strategic Planning at SUTD, and Co-Director of the SUTD-JTC Industrial Infrastructure Innovation Centre.

May has a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from NYU School of Law. May serves as a Lifetime Trustee at the NYU School of Law, and on the Board of Directors for the National Partnership for Women and Families and the Chelsea Day School in New York.

Bruce is a Chartered Accountant and has held senior finance roles in the aviation and fast moving consumer goods industries. In the public sector he has held senior management and planning roles in the New Zealand health sector and now in tertiary education. Since the earthquakes of 2010 and 2011 he has been involved in business continuity planning and recovery initiatives across the institution.

As Director of Strategy, Planning and Performance at the University of Newcastle, Associate Professor Anne Young leads a team that is responsible for coordinating strategic planning, business intelligence, reporting and analytics, quality assurance, institutional surveys and research and student load planning. Anne has a PhD in statistics, is on the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Expert Register and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Prior to her current role, she worked in health planning and as a teaching and research academic in statistics and epidemiology, with a focus on longitudinal studies and record linkage. Anne has a strong interest in using both quantitative and qualitative data to support evidence-based decision making and continuous improvement, particularly in relation to improving student retention and success. She established the Australian Network of University Planners with her peers in 2012 to facilitate discussion of topical issues and to highlight the expertise within the group to support and contribute to policy discussions, educational research and evaluation of strategies.

Professor Roger Shu Kwan CHENG is currently the Associate Provost (Teaching & Learning) and Professor of Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering. He was Associate Head for Undergraduate Affairs of the ECE Department and then Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Student Affairs of the School of Engineering. He led the effort in designing the new 4-year Engineering curriculum, implementing the new school-based admission scheme, coordinating the first-year advising program for the new Engineering students in the 4-year program at the School of Engineering. At his current position, he is in charge of the teaching & learning effort at the University, including blended learning, E-learning and Experiential Learning. Professor Cheng's research focus is in Wireless Communications and Networks. He published over 150 papers with 6500+ citations and filed 27 patents, among them 9 granted. He is a Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of HKIE and has been consultant for many companies. He is also one of the founders of a technology start-up in 1999, which was eventually listed on the HK Stock Exchange. He obtained his BS degree from Drexel University, and MSc and PhD degrees from Princeton University.

Kevin McConkey holds a BA (Hons) and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Queensland, Australia. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School, USA.

Doris joined Yale-NUS College in 2012 from Bain & Company (Southeast Asia) where she was the Director of Human Capital. Prior to that, she was the Director of the MBA Program at INSEAD and then at Singapore Management University where she created and launched the MBA programs. She was also briefly at Ngee Ann Polytechnic as a Visiting Lecturer, where she taught Life Management Skills and Cross Cultural Communications. Her experience also extends to working in multiple media ventures including an internet start-up, Time Inc. International, Hearst New Media and Price Waterhouse LLP in their telecom and media division. Over the years, she has worked in Hong Kong, London, New York, France and Singapore. Doris graduated with a B.A. in Politics and Environmental Studies from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard University. She was an elected member of Princeton's Board of Trustees from 1993-1997. She sits on numerous boards including United World College (SEA) and the INSEAD Advisory Committee of Southeast Asia and the Yong Siew Tong Conservatory.

Will Houghteling is the North American Managing Director for the Minerva Schools at KGI. At Minerva, Will overseas the student lifecycle, covering outreach, student life, and career development. Prior to Minerva, Will worked for many years at Google in a variety of partnerships, strategy and marketing roles across Google Maps, Android, YouTube and Google+. Most recently at Google Will focused on using technology to increase access to education. Will graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University where he studied sociology and government.

Christina Luther is the Director of International Student and Scholar Services at Portland State University, where she has worked for the last 15 years. Ms Luther has been active in her professional association, NAFSA, for most of her career, presenting at the local, state and national level, serving on the regional team and on national sub-committees. Her primary interest is regulatory interpretation and application, in particular since the re-write of the F-1 student regulations in 2002. She is currently serving on NAFSA's International Student and Scholar Regulatory Practice SubCommittee. 
Prof. Suh is a professor in Information and Technology Strategy at the Department of Industrial & Management Engineering, POSTECH since 1989. Before joining POSTECH, he was on the faculty of Oklahoma State University. He received his B.S. from Seoul National University, M.S. from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and Stanford University, and Ph.D. from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Dr. Pitambar Gautam is Associate Professor at Creative Research Institution (CRIS), Hokkaido University, in Japan. Currently, he is engaged in bibliometric analysis of research publications to acquire data required for effective planning of the research strategy of university by the Vice President of Research. Prior to joining CRIS in 2008, he served as the coordinator and educator for the 5-years long MEXT-sponsored 21st Century COE Program "Neoscience of Natural History" at the Graduate School of Science of the same University and as a Lecturer in earth sciences at Tribhuvan University in Nepal (1983-2003). His long association with geo-environmental sciences related to the Himalayas has resulted in 50 research publications with database dependent h-index of 12 (WoS core), 13 (Scopus) or 15 (Google Scholar). He is particularly interested in identifying the institutional research strengths and research benchmarking at various levels (university, department/institute, and researcher) as well as active communication at multilingual and multicultural settings.

Dr. Alison Lloyd is the Director of Institutional Research and Planning at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She supports strategic and academic planning and oversees the University's participation on international rankings.

Graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Accountancy from the former University of Singapore and worked for 3 years as an auditor with the Ernst & Young public accounting firm. Embarked on a banking career by joining the Chase Manhattan Bank (now JP Morgan Chase), Singapore. Worked with the Bank for 18 years, fulfilling different roles from regional auditor, to Head of Internal Audit and ultimately as the Chief Financial Officer of the Singapore Branch. I was later placed as the Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of a family-owned real estate developer, which owns hotels, office buildings, residential developments and a retail mall. After 3 years, the opportunity to be involved in the start-up of a new university, the Singapore Management University, came in 1999. I joined the university as the Chief Financial Officer looking after the funding and financial aspects of the university. Over the years, additional functions were added to my responsibility, which included the Investment Office, Strategic Planning, Facilities Management, Campus Development, Facilities Leasing and Business Productivity Improvement. I am still serving as the Senior Vice President of Finance & Administration at the Singapore Management University.

Jill Lerner FAIA is Principal at KPF, an international design firm with a range of influential projects around the globe. With over 30 years of design and management experience, Ms. Lerner has led the design of numerous award-winning academic, medical, and research projects including the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, CUNY's Advanced Science Research Center, Peking University's School of Transnational Law in Shenzhen and NYU Shanghai.

Susan Lowance has over 20 years of experience as an architect with specialized expertise in the programming, planning and design of educational, institutional and research buildings. Since joining KPF in 2000, she has worked for a range of academic institutions, including New York University, New York University Shanghai, the University of Michigan, the University of California Los Angeles, and the University of Miami. Working closely with each client, she helps generate organizational principles for buildings that both reflect the specific character of the institution they serve and transform the culture with new state of the art facilities. She also works to craft learning environments which reflect new pedagogical directions and accommodate change over time. Her current projects include the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, and the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at the University of California-Los Angeles.

Bhupinder is Director in the Office of the President, at the National University of Singapore. He is responsible for the planning portfolio and works with the senior management team at the strategic level to lead university - wide initiatives relating to strategic planning, finance and IT. Prior to this, Bhupinder was with the Office of the Provost and the Dean's Office of the School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and University of Manchester respectively.

Michael Fung is the Director of Planning and Institutional Research, Office of the President at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He provides leadership and support for the University's strategic and academic planning, decision-making, resource allocation, assessment of institutional effectiveness, and participation in international rankings.

Chris Shay serves as the Assistant Vice President for Operations at Santa Clara University. He is responsible for the execution of the University's new 2020 facilities master plan effort. Prior to Santa Clara University, Chris was the Director of Facilities for Stanford University's School of Humanities and Sciences and the Director of Capital Projects for the Stanford University School of Medicine. He has served in both the U.S. Army Reserve and the U.S. Foreign Service. He has had the opportunity to study abroad in Bangkok Thailand (Asian Institute of Technology) prior to joining Stanford.

Pey Kin-Leong is currently the Associate Provost of Education and a Professor at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Prof. Pey was appointed by the Singapore Ministry of Education to take up the current position at SUTD in 2009. He was previously Head of the Microelectronics Division, Programme Director of the Si Technology Research group, Director of the Nanyang NanoFabrication Center (N2FC), and the Director of the Microelectronic Centre in the School of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and had graduated 30 PhD theses and more than 15 Master theses.
